At Lake Meadows Senior Assisted Living, residents receive tailored care in order to live as independently as possible. Care services include support with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as dressing, bathing, and hygiene. Our enhanced personal care program, Along the Journey, goes beyond the physical, focusing on emotional well-being, comfort, and respect for residents and families. We tried something brand new, and it was a huge success! 🎨🏡
Our amazing art instructor, Dannie, led our residents in creating beautiful custom welcome mats using high-quality, thick, durable mats and stencils. Everyone enjoyed painting their own unique design, and the finished projects turned out absolutely amazing!
This was such a fun, creative experience that we’ve already decided to do it again for the holidays in December. 🎄
If you’ve never tried making a welcome mat, we highly recommend it! Classes like these often cost $100 or more, but Dannie offers them to seniors for just $25 per person. Her goal isn’t to get rich—it’s to encourage seniors to try something new, express their creativity, build confidence, and simply have fun.

Creativity is in full bloom at Lake Meadows! 🎨
Our residents had so much fun designing beautiful resin art coasters using dried flowers, colorful beads, shimmering powders, glitter, and a variety of fun embellishments to make each one unique.
We also spent time working on our clay pots and porch signs, creating one-of-a-kind handmade treasures.
These special creations will be available at Texas roadhouse our Alzheimer’s Association Fundraiser on Friday, July 17, from 11:00 AM–3:00 PM.
Stop by to shop our handmade crafts, support a great cause, and help make a difference in the fight against Alzheimer’s.
